For this exhibition, Liz Collins partnered with the textile manufacturer, Sunbrella, and the French furniture brand, Ligne Roset. She transformed three rooms inside the Rossana Orlandi Gallery into a whimsical wonderland of texture and color. The display, titled “Summit Suite,” was a two-story installation of emboldened, vibrant color.
To create the art that adorns this space, Collins used repurposed pieces of Sunbrella selvedge fabric. In doing this, Collins is giving unused materials a second chance at life, and cutting down on fabric waste. She continued to explore this concept with her selvedge fur project.
