Veins are among the structures in nature from which I have drawn limitless conceptual and formal inspiration; they are the means by which nourishment is transported through plants and animals. The physical framework this concept provides in my clothing supplies not only an essential elemental structure, but also carries visual connotations I am interested in harnessing, including integration, wholeness, and bondage.
